Board Initiatives

Coastal Action Plans
The Board and partners have developed a range of Coastal Action Plans for the Western Coastal Region. Key initiatives currently underway include the development of a Boating Coastal Action Plan and the statutory review of CAPs in the region.

Coastal Action Plan Initiatives
Boating
The Boating CAP provides a strategic framework to guide the provision of improved and more sustainable boating facilities across the Western Coastal Region. The WVB CAP ensures that the entire Victorian coast will have a coordinated strategic planning approach to the provision, maintenance and management of recreational boating infrastructure, and that appropriate levels of service are provided through a network of boating facilities for the benefit of all Victorians.

A Draft Boating CAP is now on exhibition from 26th August to 9th October and public feedback is invited. Click here for more information

CAP Reviews
The Board is undertaking statutory full reviews of CAPs in the region during 2009. Click here for more details.

Priorities for Regional Collaboration: Coastal Planning and Natural Resource Management
